DUAUK organised a Virtual Dua Mahfil in memory of its alumnus, the late Mr Meer Belal Sharif, who
passed away on 7 July 2026.
The programme was presided over by President Sirajul Basith Choudhury and conducted by General
Secretary Barrister Md Quamrul Hassan.
Members remembered the deceased’s life, education, legal career and contribution to the alumni
and wider community.
Treasurer Syed Zafor presented a biography of the deceased, while members of his family also
participated.
His elder son, Mr Rumman, paid tribute to his father and thanked DUAUK for organising the
memorial programme.
The programme concluded with Dua for the forgiveness of the deceased and prayers for strength
and patience for the bereaved family.
